The Shrike is a semi-automatic pistol with a laser sight. It has 15 rounds and takes 4 to kill, or a single headshot. It has high accuracy even when fired rapidly, though having low energy (below 28) will make hipfired shots go wide despite the laser and increase recoil when aiming down sights. Against armor, it takes 7 body shots or 2 headshots to kill. A headshot will always ragdoll a player in armor. It's one of the few weapons that can be used on ladders or in water.

Against armor, it takes 7 body shots or 2 headshots to kill. A headshot will always ragdoll a player in armor. It's one of the few weapons that can be used on ladders or in water.

Keybinds

  • 3 (Holster Item), will equip the Shrike.

Tuning

The Shrike can be given any of the different firemodes that the Manta has. If the Panther and Shrike have different default firemodes, then the last one held (such as from a team switch) will carry its firemode over to the other pistol. This does not persist between maps.

The ammo that is loaded in a weapon by default is determined by the map. If a map spawns the player with 30 ammo loaded and the maximum magazine size is 15, then reloading will make those extra rounds vanish.

Trivia

  • The Shrike was added to the game on 2020 July 26.
  • The Shrike's design is in reference to Metal Gear Solid's SOCOM pistol which is in turn based on the Heckler & Koch Mk 23 Mod 0 Phase II Prototype that was used in weapon trials before mass production.
  • The Shrike has the most text on it out of all the weapons. On the left side of the slide is: SR-55, AO. 55 Auto, and 158917 - II. On the lower left side of the grip is: SHRIKE .55. Engraved on the right side of the ejection port is the text: AO. 55 Auto and 158917 - II. On the upper right side of the grip is: Intruder Island made and II - 158917 - Shrike. On the lower part of the right side of the grip is: .55 SHRIKE.
