Shield

Introduction

The Riot Shield is used to protect your character from bullets.

Gameplay

By default, you must pick up a Riot Shield by walking up to it and pressing "V". The shield will need to be bound to a key and typically this open slot is "2". The riot shield may be able to protect you from a sea of bullets but has many vulnerabilities. The side of your character is unprotected as the shield is only effective if you're looking directly at your enemy. The shield does not protect against explosives or even a banana. Going Prone with your shield will unequip the item and be stored back in your inventory. A common way to counter a riot shield is to run up and arrest. In addition, the feet of a standing/running player that has a riot shield are exposed; they can be targeted.
