Competitive Matches
Introduction
Competitive Matches are streamed on Rob Storm's YouTube channel. The Superbossgames YouTube channel has streamed them in the past, and highlights of comp matches are uploaded there occasionally.
General Rules
- Each grande match generally has 2 halves (which are played out like default regular matches). First half match on Riverside. Second half match on Mountainside. If the matches split, a tiebreaking match is played on either Cliffside or Oceanside.
- Teams may be 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5
- Players MAY NOT use voice chat while dead/spectating
- Players MAY NOT use text chat while alive
- Players MAY NOT text chat in discord during the match at any time
- Players MAY NOT use any outside method to communicate with one another (if this is found out all players will be permanently disqualified from Comp Matches)
- Players MAY NOT watch live streams during the match (if this is found out all players will be permanently disqualified from Comp Matches)
- Players MAY text chat while dead
- All players must be signed into the Superboss Discord server and put into a muted channel where they cannot speak or hear
- Demoted players may not participate in Comp Matches
- If a player leaves the match from one side, the other side may decide if they would like to take the match or continue playing
- If a clan has issues with players leaving consistently, their clan may be no longer be allowed in competitive matches
- Any behavior that would be grounds for demotion will be punishable at the discretion of the ref/commentators
- All clans must have a post on the forum related to their clan with a list of members and where each member has responded
- All players must confirm they have read these rules before participating
Exploits and Unpatched Bugs
Use of any exploits or unpatched bugs may be punishable at the discretion of the ref or commentators. Including but not limited to:
- Grabbing sniper rifle on Mountainside without the unlock code.
- Balancing weirdly on top of glass in Riverside.
- Shooting or pushing/arresting of appendages through walls.
- Standing on top of doors.
- Excessive holding up of game or sitting in one place (ie sitting in the elevator forever).
- Using a riot shield to lift up cars and shoot through grounds.
Any use of these may incur a warning from the ref/commentators. If the warning is not heeded the ref may begin taking rounds/sets/matches from the offending team.
